- Fuck patents. Two of the patents are pretty much used for 15+ years by different companies and are the basis for 3D-printing in general. I hate that is legal to don’t give a crap about a patent until you feel someone’s threatening your position. I was thinking about buying a Bambu-Labs printer. Probably gotta get it before some stupid court gives the case to Stratasys. - while im not on Stratasys’ side, Bambu Labs isn’t any saint either. Their 3D printers go on a closed source path so that its fully tight nit and integrated ala Apple and do not give back to the 3D printing community whatsoever. It’s just a game of two companies trying to keep shit in for themselves. Bambu Labs is basically the dark horse in a field of open source 3d printers that trying to make things propietary, - Yeah, I get that. That’s why patents themselves are shit. Imagine what would the world look like today if volvo didn’t donate it’s seat belt patent to the world?

- My knowledge of the 3D printing market is very limited, but even to me the claimed parents seem obvious and not novel.

- Go suck a large one, Stratasys. It’s also FFF, Fused Filament Fabrication, not FDM.
- It threatens nothing.
