With Arch, if you have the Yay manager, you can do “yay <search query>” and it’ll search not just the names of packages but the descriptions too. I’m sure there’s equivalents for other distros, and even with pacman itself

The effects on queer people have its relevance here, but the article’s focus on this topic seems to diminish the severity of the effects of surveillance on our immigrant population who are actively being detained with no due process right now.
