Google has quietly raised the price of the Google TV Streamer to $149.99.

Looks like the ram and storage prices increases are hitting the Google TV Streamer now.

          Thanks for that. I guess I’m too used to new models having new names like cell phones. I wasn’t sure about specs when looking into the shield but now I know what to look for.

            Anti-consumer in a weird way.
            You’d think they want to put new shiny version near any of the product communication.

            Maybe it’s just the pet project of one senior engineer that makes enough profit to be continued and keeps the foot in the industry.

      if you can find one in stock, the .onn 4k pro box for $59 is sick. Fast as heck, has a built in google play speaker (which you can disable) and a button to locate the remote, I’m dumping all my fire sticks for these

        I don’t think I’ve found one of the larger boxes at my walmart yet but I got 2 of the sticks to replace old roku streaming sticks and need to replace my Roku ultra but it’s working okay still

        Not really sure but out of the box it runs better than a roku and I put projectivity launcher on there

      Yeah, there was a time when hardware kept on improving. So, buying a new device 5yrs later meant you had superior hardware for the same price. Those were very interesting and hopeful times.

      Now, you get degraded specs for more price. These AI companies cannot fall fast enough. Our civilization is going through dark times thanks to the greed of a select few.
