      It was never a priority when a lot of these stations were built, and retro fitting toilets underground will be an expensive project.

        I don’t recall during a holiday when I was there, but have heard some parts smell because people relieve themselves in the station? Or was that new York?

          Yeah there is a problem with public urination in London, probably related to the lack of public toilets (and the stupid closing times of those that remain). I don’t really notice the smell in most places though, London has a strong city smell anyway.

            The tube has that dusty smell that also smells like stale air, and then you feel air rushing at you thirty seconds before the train arrives.

    So no stations that are actually underground.
