I use that perk on my main scout builds, helps a lot when working solo to not be surprised by leeches and grabbers.

On the other classes, i usually find Iron Will and Dash to be more essential. On leech cluster maps, I’ll often just spray and pray the ceilings of any big rooms as gunner.
