Short but cute game, was neat to see the video at the end showcasing the steps the developers went through to create it.
Also available from Blender directly: https://studio.blender.org/blog/dogwalk-official-release/

Really cute, has some rough edges and the performance on deck isn’t stellar (30-40fps in the main menu), but it’s a great looking project. Hopefully it will get updated to be even better
I started playing this morning. The environment is very cute and the mechanics are kind of hilarious. I spent half the time dragging my kid around and getting his head stuck in the snow, or spinning him around on the ice. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for some lighthearted, artistic fun.
Wouldn’t it be better to just send the money straight to the Godot or Blender rather than buy the DLC supporter pack through Steam? The store would take a cut of that wouldn’t they?
That is true, but I think that this way they get the most that they can. Some people will go the direct route, and I think that a lot more will just go through steam. So it’s good that they have this option too.
If it sells well on Steam, it also rises in the charts there, becoming more visible to an even larger audience. While the margin is lower due to the cost of the store, the profit might still heavily exceed the alternative (and since there’s no per unit cost for software, that’s quite nice).
