that is how I started 6 months ago, but then I noticed how awfully outdated all the packages are. As I wanted to use it for gaming I’d like to have the latest drivers and latest Steam, and a modern wayland window manager etc. which is why I am now on Fedora and am very happy so far. Don’t listen to the demons! Just install Mint and be done!
