Brazil’s labor court has ordered Volkswagen to pay about $30 million for collective moral damages. This decision Friday follows revelations that workers faced slave-like conditions at a company-owned farm in the Amazon during the 1970s and 1980s.
That sounds a bit extreme IMO, you can’t really claim a fair trial when judging someone on the standards of half a century later.
