I tried the single player mode. It’s quite fun for a pre-alpha. Still needs a lot of polish, but the basic movement feels good most of the time. I am still kinda clueless what the actual game objective is or why I am doing what I am doing.
I honestly wouldn’t classify that as “extreme speed” at all. The movement is too risky. There’s not enough place to safely land for that to count as “extreme speed” like e.g. Risk of Rain 2 if you go for a speed build.
At least in the first 10 minutes of the game (that’s about as long as I played), it’s almost more of a puzzle platformer with e.g. vanishing rocks where you have to time your jumps.
