I’m looking to escape Google’s clutches as much as possible. Switched to GrapheneOS several months ago. The one app I’m really struggling to replace is PhotoScan, which lets you scan physical photos (in my case, a lot of old family albums) and upload them to Google Photos.
I primarily use Ente for photos, and subscribe to a Nextcloud instance, but haven’t been able to find any app that has the capability to do something like PhotoScan. The few apps I’ve had recommended have bad user reviews and/or an extremely expensive subscription model. I’m not opposed to paying for something that works, and I try to support FOSS as much as possible.
Any suggestions?
woah are those negative or slide? we have a place here that i used to hand a hundred or so negatives at a time, but that was in the before times. they’re still here but don’t really advertise scanning anymore, so not clear on what would be possible
Just old photos, dozens of photo albums that my mother sent me, I want to digitize them as a backup
