There have been a lot of complaints about both the competency and the logic behind the latest Epstein archive release by the DoJ: from censoring the names of co-conspirators to censoring pictures of random women in a way that makes individuals look guiltier than they really are, forgetting to redact credentials that made it possible for all of Reddit to log into Epstein’s account and trample over all the evidence, and the complete ineptitude that resulted in most of the latest batch being corrupted thanks to incorrectly converted Quoted-Printable encoding artifacts, it’s safe to say that Pam Bondi’s DoJ did not put its best and brightest on this (admittedly gargantuan) undertaking. But the most damning evidence has all been thoroughly redacted… hasn’t it? Well, maybe not.
Anyone knows why they released them at all? What does the administration get from it?
Let me adjust my tinfoil hat.
This proof has existed before Trump, and nobody was accountable. High level Democrats are either implicated or paid to look away.
It’s now a nuclear mutual destruction weapon. Everybody has to threaten the others with it, but nobody can use it. Trump shows a bit, Democrats threaten with asking for the rest. Nobody will do the final push.
During that time, ICE is killing and kidnapping people, journalists have been detained, military action in foreign countries, threats against peaceful allies, blatant corruption, unjust laws…
And we all say “yeah, that’s a distraction on the Epstein files”.
No, the files are the distraction. Nobody in power well let us ever see the full picture. We see what they want us to see plus a few fuckups. The main guy was killed, whoever speaks goes next. Meanwhile they have blackmail for the richest people in the world.
They are running rampant and we are being distracted by something we will never get.
I have no idea what we can do, but this is beyond fucked up. We can’t ignore them, but we can’t let them distract from everything else.
I found that I want to think of this as “we already know what’s up”, and instead of waiting for the next crumbles to be dropped we need to take action.
be that boycotting big tech, trash food, or talking about the disgusting facts, helping kids (and ourselves) getting away from our phones, and leaen how to “human” again. or demonstrations, or flyers to inform people in easy language. replace one meal a week with a vegan one. any small change helps.
The best and brightest don’t work there anymore.
Or, malicious compliance by someone with a moral compass. Best is to somehow leak documents wholesale. But if that’s not possible, I think the next best way to all but guarantee that the information gets out is to do a lousy job censoring, and let “The Internet” do the rest. It also makes the administration look even more stupid, especially in the eyes of technically minded folks.

tl;dr there’s a bunch of base64-encoded PDFs in the Epstein emails. Buddy had a hard time extracting them because the files are exported as images and the one and ell characters are almost indistinguishable.
Dude eventually managed to distinguish them. 🤷♂️

Was this “poorly redacted” thing just a hoax from the outset? Perhaps even started by MAGA HQ to get us too exhausted by false and innocuous findings so that when the real paydirt hits the screens the swinging voters will be too jaded to care?
No the poorly redacted ones were real, from the first release. They were not redacted by the DOJ, they were old court documents. Afaik all of them were also already released unredacted.
What about decoding each of the areas both ways and test the amount of entropy in each instance?
