A bit of pain but you can still see FB, you have to hit the [x] in the top right of the login nag then it will let you scroll through several photos/posts before popping up again (wont work on the main feed page just photos/posts, not sure about liked pages). When it does pop up again it wont have the [x] so click the browsers refresh and the [x] will show up again but FB will still be on the same photo/post. Rinse, repeat.

Nice 👍 been using NLE as a docker server for a while, just switched to the HA integration (note both options use MQTT to allow HA full control with a climate card).

Nest Thermostat Gen 1 or Gen 2 running NoLongerEvil firmware. You can pick up a gen 2 on eBay for 20-30 USD. It only takes 5 min to load the firmware and there is a HA native integration. Rock solid hardware with no cloud, no google, and it works great with HA. Note that the gen 1 and gen 2 are pre Google buyout of Nest. There is also a cloud hosted dashboard if you want BUT there is no cloud self-hosted docker server and no cloud HA only version as well.
Edit: Nest is WiFi

I don’t actually NEED the e-mail server part, I wonder if there is a build for the e/os without the e-mail sync?

Well the reason the VM is isolated is probably 2 fold,
so if things are done correctly you shouldn’t copy any file to or from the isolated machine

Paywall
I also saw where they used a graphic of the entire US when the study only encompasses 1 county in California.
Look at the map this is just higher near larger population, Correlation vs. Causation. This smells like bull shit.
It’s a i5-8600 3.1 Ghz 6-core.
as others have said it’s a pre release sample for testing and might have bugs but the QP4W tells you the processor type
Cursed sword , you suffer -10 on wisdom rolls while carrying

I’ll pass on reddit AND google.
There are no “real” alternative OS available for apple devices. You can get some IDE “lite” apps like Visual Code, Python Editor, etc. but these a meant as companions to a PC IDE not meant for compiling, linking, testing, etc. You might be able to trade the old iPad for an old laptop you can put a flavor of Linux on.

I run a Unifi USG-1 router/gateway now but before that I got a used AC1000 router from the thrift store for $5 and loaded OpenWRT on that. I eventually got an Aris modem to replace the Comcrap Gateway because it was messing with the DNS traffic, even when piHole was set as DNS for every machine. So if I were you I would go look at the OpenWRT list of units that will accept their firmware. Pay attention to the hardware revision as well as the model number, it matters.
https://openwrt.org/toh/views/toh_fwdownload
Then head over to a local thrift store or two and see if you can find any for cheep.

No I have not tried that. That’s a good idea, is there a live boot image geared toward burn-in / fault testing?

I looked in the BIOS settings but did not see where I could disable the c-states unfortunately. I did try masking all the triggers in the OS with no change.
Nice.

Nice try, scammer.
Ditto, I’ve one that will power a full size sata hdd (external power supply), use it for backups to magnetic, never had an issue. Got it years ago from a defunct computer shop, so no link but I Willi post the model later and put a ssd in and check TRIM.
Edit: the enclosure I have is a ORICO 3588US3 if you use it with a ssd you don’t need the external power supply, I put a ssd in it and ‘sudo hdparm -I /dev/sdb’ reports ‘Data Set Management TRIM supported’
