I feel like Mac is the right option for “normies”. Windows is basically malware at this point.

Ummm if anything he’s actually making money lol. Seriously though its crazy that Jake quit because LMG didn’t want to give him a raise, then Linus buys a 5-million dollar jet.
If its legally required what are their options? I currently use Pop! OS, what are my options in that scenario? Like legally speaking how does age verification work?

553·2 months agoThe Department of War isn’t a real thing. Its called The Department of Defense. That’s not my opinion either, its officially/legally called The Department of Defense.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Steam Machine price leak suggests it will cost as much as an iPhone
22·3 months agoI’m with you on that but the price still seems steep to me. Last I heard Sony makes a profit selling the PS5 Pro($750) and the Steam Machine has worse specs (60cu vs 28cu GPU/ 2TB vs 500GB storage).
Personally I was considering getting a Steam Machine over upgrading my PC just to make my life easier. But, not for that much of a premium.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Steam Machine price leak suggests it will cost as much as an iPhone
13·3 months agoThat seems like a niche within a niche to me. The Steam Deck filed a hole in the market, the Steam Machine doesn’t. Either way that doesn’t explain the high price, last I heard Sony makes a profit selling the PS5 Pro($750) and the Steam Machine has worse specs (60cu vs 28cu GPU/ 2TB vs 500GB storage). Like others have mentioned, the price might be reseller pricing vs buying directly from valve.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Steam Machine price leak suggests it will cost as much as an iPhone
24·3 months agoBut why buy the Steam Machine over a PlayStation at that point? Your getting worse performance for twice the money. Isn’t the SM meant to convert console players, most current Steam users already have PCs. Or am I looking at this all wrong?

1·3 months ago- Yes I did, if only the USA teams boycott fans from other countries still attend. All the money gained from tourism is still received.
- See #1
- At best its the 5th most popular sport in America, it might be even lower. I don’t care if it deters interest, personally, I’d respect the players more if they boycotted.
- Again do you know who won the MLS championship? I see plenty of WORDLE comments and posts in your history, very couldn’t find any MLS stuff.

World News@lemmy.world•US World Cup boycotts grow as Trump threatens MexicoEnglish
21·3 months ago1- There is no lack of money in California.
2- If the USA teams specifically state the boycott is because of the President it makes him look terrible.
3- If only the USA teams boycott, no money is lost. Americans don’t really care about soccer. Do you know who won the MLS championship last year, I don’t, does anyone here know without looking it up?

Typical Chad move.
It seems to just be a 7600m laptop GPU which comes with 8Gb. I don’t think this is a custom chip like SONY uses but, just off the shelf stuff AMD sold for a discount.

4·7 months agoThat’s basically what they are doing now. Fun fact, TSMC the company that manufacturers the most advanced chips in the world actually rigs their machinery to explode if they where to ever be invaded by China. Just to be clear, this is a real thing and not a joke.

5·7 months agoHas legality or bad PR stopped Microsoft in the past? Worst case they pay a fine and everyone continues to use Windows anyways. The only reason Microsoft hasn’t done this already is because they haven’t figured out a way to profit from it yet.
Basically all of Valves business relies on Windows. Valve saw how Apple operates MacOS and iOS, then saw Microsoft release the Windows Store and put two and two together lol.

Nope, it’s a real jet.
