I also highly recommend arch-based distros for gaming. The AUR is also full of various tools for gaming such as mod managers.

I don’t whats worse, having your name constantly butchered, or having to deal with a copywrite dispute with the 3 other people in the room with the same name for ownership of it.

I used paint(dot)net back when I still used Windows. After making the full switch to linux, I now use Krita, and have GIMP installed because it handles certain file types better than Krita. I cannot begin to describe my hatred over GIMP and how it’s a necessary evil in the world of image editing for anything that isn’t png, jpg, or webm.
Ughhhh. I just got my configuration setup the way I wanted it a few months ago. I really don’t want to jump ship after spending so much time learning how homemanager works.

Dark traffic?!?! LMAO. Can we start calling malicious ads dark advertising?

Give them easy access to .exe games??? They should have to put in the effort to slack off during class.

Back when I was in high school I remember hearing about other students that would store games on certain teachers shared folders on the network. I can’t remember if the school ever caught on to that.
SuperF4 was my savior when I tried playing modded FalloutNV.

At least Capcom eventually removes denuvo from their games. I’ll probably wait until that happens to play Wilds.

Same for me. Denvo killed me enjoyment of monster hunter world. Locked me out of the game when I tried playing it after a long break from the game. Being told I have to wait 24 hours before attempting to play a game I paid for was a quick way to get me to not want to buy any denuvo game.
Haven’t heard about Notepadqq. How different is it from Kate?
I’m too used to using notepad++ that I would rather use Kate than learn how to properly use vi(m).

Thank you for reminding me why I stopped using the reddit app. Almost considered re-downloading it.

Join the free side. We have penguins.
I’m fine with content being vaulted to make room for new content. What I have an issue with is when the new content isn’t even half of the quality of what they removed. I quit playing shortly after menagerie was removed for exactly that reason.

Had that happen to me with Last Epoch. At launch the native linux version had graphical issues where as proton ran the windows version almost perfectly.

Endeavour also gives DE options during installation.

Steam does have a monopoly though. They don’t do anything anti-competitive with it, so there is not much Epic can do about it (other than make their platform better for the people using it).

It’s definitely time consuming, especially if you struggle to find the right documentation\tutorials on how to do things.
