I mean… They would have been right 5 years ago. But then they caught up and are showing some other manufacturers up.
Similarly here, Chinese manufacturers are making progress, and as usual they’re catching up quite well. In a few years I fully expect to see actual competition, and competition benefits everyone.
All it does is make me think “wow, Samsung is really cheaping out with the logic staff, strike harder!”

I was planning on buying my wife a laptop so we can play games together. Not anymore.
I was also hoping to upgrade my RAM this year, but that’s definitely not happening now.
Honestly I probably just won’t be upgrading for another 5-7years.

RTGs do get put out in space, however they aren’t used for everything. If a single rocket experiences Spontaneous Unplanned Disassembly while carrying an RTG, it’s a disaster that spreads radioactive materials.
The entire point of an RTG is to use the waste heat as power, and if I understand RTG design, the cooling fins are to provide the difference in temperature that thermoelectric modules need to produce power. So there isn’t a ton of heat that it gives off in general.
Look at the international space station. It has massive radiator panels, and all it needs to do is house humans and the equipment to keep them alive. A lot of bulkiness of space suits is dedicated to heat management.
The #1 product of data centers is massive amounts of equipment-killing heat. That heat either gets radiated via massive radiator panels, or the space data center cooks it’s own equipment.
Natural wildfires have been artificially intensified both by climate change, and humanity’s obsession with not letting nature do its thing.
Wildfires are natural, they happened all the time without human intervention. Not like a constant thing, but often enough.
Humans moved in and decided if they see smoke on the horizon, it must be stopped. This kills the natural cycle that clears brush from the forest floor, and allows new life to bloom.
With forest floor scrub is basically at an all time high due to no small periodic fires, when it DOES burn, it really fucking blazes and creates insane conditions that basically wouldn’t exist otherwise.
So yes, it DOES apply to natural wildfires, the wildfires wouldn’t be so bad if humans didn’t make them worse through mismanagement. Thus the contamination hazards would be less intense.
