  • So corporations use ai and bots themselves in order to inflate their stats and steal money from investors and share holders(see Reddit) and its all cool. Someone does that but it costs the corporation some money. Straight to jail.

Seriously, how has the reddit IPO which was offered to users not been a fraudulent scheme due to the website statistics being based on genuine user interaction with no mention of auto reposting or bots that are either operated by or hired by reddit?

It genuinely seems like the next ponzi scheme but that would require so many federal agencies that stopped giving shit and learning how the world works to see any peep into that business.

But what do I know, I’m just some average Joe that gets audited over a $300 mistake on annual taxs which I have to pay a private third party more than that to do.

  • I’ve been a long time eGPU user so that was probably the biggest thing I wanted from my steamdeck. But years on I’m not really sure how much I would use it. I use my CPU heavy laptop and eGPU when I want to game big. I’m not going to replace my laptop with my steamdeck. If I want more power than what my steamdeck has, but play on it, I just stream from my laptop + eGPU.

  • Glance works to deliver recommendations to users like ads, news articles, and more on the lock screen.

    How do I block it?

Glance will side with offering a subscription service where users can pay for “premium news” on their lock screens every month.

Oh, so just don’t pay for it, right?

Fortunately, you can disable Glance on the phone, but we found that the service would occasionally produce a full-screen prompt on the lock screen, encouraging you to re-enable the feature.

Oh, so more bloat using resources even when disabled.

Glance will seek to make a profit through the aforementioned subscription and if users interact with its “product of the day.”

Its literally just a venture to capture and advertise on every visible space possible.

It looks like I’ll be spending 2025 onward with Linux and a flip phone.

  • So much minecraft and kerbal space program. They were two of the very few games that ran naively and had cracked Linux files available on public trackers. I had to put a minimum of 1000 hours of minecraft using the clit mouse that old Dell laptops used to have. I hate that they got rid of those and now the only modern laptops with the clit mouse are Lenovos which I hate. Lenovo ruined ThinkPads.
