Trump counterbalance keeping it in check but my gut is saying once tariffs come in February there’s going to be a market correction. Pure speculation on my part.
You’re describing the internet though. If two people meet in a public space and conspire to commit a crime, the public space isn’t fined. In the same way that if two people on Lemmy meet and then conspire to commit a crime, the space shouldn’t be fined. If OTOH the platform owner was made aware and didn’t take action, then yes that would be aiding a crime.
Zionists really captured that platform.
Just curious because Distrowatch can be easily gamed; does anyone know how this might affect the linux consumer market? I’m using Mint and see no reason to switch to this. I used to nerd out about different distros but aside from the enterprise distros or Debian or Arch preferences I don’t see why people are using smaller distros anymore. Hobbyist i guess?
Who are the oompa loompas in this?
It’s because the USA floods countries with cheap goods all the time and then cries foul when someone else does it. It’s pure hypocrisy.
At some point decades from now maybe? I still think nuclear and fusion research are important for human civilization, I just think it’s stupid to waste money on building power plants using nuclear technology in its current state.
Ammonia believe it or not.
The reason we don’t build nuclear power plants anymore (including small modular), is because they’re insanely expensive, produce only a small amount of power compared to you can produce with renewables, and always come with cost overruns. Nuclear power is the techsploitation of of tbe 60’s and 70’s. Most governments look at the economics now and realize they can do solar plus storage for a fraction of the immediate and long term cost.

Would have been amazing if they federated with Forgejo and supported federated git like they’re doing with mastodon.
Why would that be progress?
I’m using it and it’s pretty good. It’s arguably too feature rich though. I mean that in every right click you have like 20 options. It’s overwhelming.
Also I use the cloud sync and every few days something doesn’t sync properly when you’re typing and it asks you to re-sync. And so you have to wait a minute while it re-builds the entire index. It doesn’t happen often but when it does it’s annoying.
You should check out Affine.pro then. It’s FOSS and you can draw anywhere, it’s one of their selling points.
Siyuan is probably the most advanced note taking app out there right now. Affine.pro is also a good one Appflowy is also good. All are FOSS.
I don’t think there are any sustainable fully open source software out there that are used for consumers besides the ones that reach a critical mass of support. And even then as a software gets more complex the more there are sacrifices to the FOSS model. You should read the boad discuss forum for TDF/Libreoffice. Collabora is trying to nerf the free version of TDF and the board reps are in this toxic battle with Collabora board reps. Eventually FOSS software needs a stable revenue stream besides donations.
I got radicalized by Slashdot. But I don’t regret it.
