  • Did. It’s long gone

Was a modified circlemud. Mostly fantasy. Was a mish mash of popular fantasy worlds. Feist, Tolkien, various DnD settings, letter on they tried to go away from fandom content.

Had any 29 classes, could “remort” keeping 15% of your skills. And had other benefits such as lowering some level requirements here and there.

Was riftsmud.net:4000 originally but they ended up having to move a could times.

About 40 players at peak times, maybe 100 players altogether that played any amount

  • I think something like “not finding it enough”, is a better way to understand it than “losing sight of it”

Why I feel this way is that people I know who have both struggled with and it failed to overcome their habits, often know and can see what led them down their paths. You can see something, and still not hold/have/enjoy/feel, etc which I think it’s important when having two conversations about the topic with people who could send would be more empathetic if they could connect to the situation more. Just seems, to me anyways, to get a better result.

I’m in no way disagreeing with you

  • I’m getting old, but when I retire, I’m going to go to as many free post secondary classes as I’m able, having never been to pist secondary, and never being a good student (I was mediocre at best and was smart enough to pass, without doing much of the work. I do not recommend or endorse being me as I was in school)

I really am curious what and how people use modern devices to great effect for studying/learning.

The world is so much different than in my youth it fascinates me what modern good study habits exist now. Like what’s the modern equivalent to flash cards? There has be something technologically amazing right? Even if it’s not well known to be widely adopted.
