Not even for gaming, but just general office work/watching videos/whatever else you can do inside a browser.
I still want a laptop thingie with a battery under the keyboard, some ports, and where the phone acts like the trackpad when docked. I know that it would be phone specific due to the size, but seriously that would be amazing. The “laptop” can be pretty cheap being just a keyboard, battery, and monitor as well.
Imagine a spot where someone wakes up, has their phone in a dock to stimulate an alarm clock, grabs it, and drives to work (with android auto, obviously). Next scene they arrive in the office, plug their phone into a dock with keyboard/mouse + monitor attached and start working seamlessly. Later they sit down in a café with just a tiny keyboard writing some emails on their phone, go back home and Screencast videos to their TV.
I have a FP5 with android and haven’t had any major software issue (so far, over the last 1 to 1.5 years). In fact the only issue I noticed was that the 5G implementation was pretty bad at first, using up way to much battery
Eh. I own a few old tools with manuals, and they actually have diagrams of the inner workings together with part numbers, some even have electrical diagrams with resistor values etc. All of the newer tools have a tiny useless “visit this website for more information” and 50% of the time it’s some bs about errors 1-10: restart device, 10-20 please contact a technician because opening the tool voids your warranty. I know dipshit, I don’t care about warranty cause I need the tool now or tomorrow, not in 3 months when you tell me it’s “unserviceable” or “uneconomical to repair” and I have to buy a new one.
8.1 was actually a massive improvement though, I doubt they’re even capable of pulling that off for 11, much less willing. 11 is flawed deeply to the core, 8 was “only” flawed on the surface (UI etc.)
As I said, specific “applications” :D
Some applications need very specific drivers and protocols that aren’t compatible with normal chips. Or you have to connect to a device via WiFi but still need internet. Also long range WiFi antennas are amazing.
Yeah, I totally get that there is a need for cheap power only cables, but why are there what feels like 30 different data “standards”. Just gimme power-only, data, and fast-data. And yeah, in 2 years there’ll be a faster data protocol, so what, that’s then fast-data24, fast-data26, etc. and manufacturers have to use a specific pictogram to label them according to the highest standard they fulfill.

Proprietary spare parts. The motors might be off the shelf so you could grab parts from a different manufacturer. But controllers and batteries are usually proprietary making repairs much more complicated and cost-inefficient

I have a Samsung ultra lux 128 for at least 6 years now, and it’s been holding up perfectly. Only the metal sheet above the port got bent a bit.

so I had to bend it back with a screwdriver, however it actually does lay flat

next to keys which is pretty nice

Discord doesn’t delete chat logs AFAIK, however one of the permissions prevents you from reading things from before you joined a server/channel

It’s a packaging bug, the headline is false.
Even Thunderbird has a better spam filter after you train it for a few days.

I don’t remember how I did it, but I could swear that I got chirp to run on Mint

Easy. For example: You could take something stupid like the controller for the background colour, move it into the recall.exe and have the file explorer reference the function inside the recall.exe. So whenever someone deletes the recall.exe the file explorer will crash because it can’t find how to set it’s background.
It’s complete bullshit, but it would work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Good. Clippy doesn’t deserve to get treated like that.

Get a safety razor. I got one a few years ago and it’s been amazing. The blades are much sharper (or at least feel that way) than the modern 4/5/6 bladed thingies, last longer, and are like 20€ for a 50-pack.

It is only appearing on prime content tho?
What. Google forms exist. It’s really not that difficult. And also, you can just have them agree to share their emails with each other??
