An echo chamber for calling CA liberal? That’s just well documented reality my guy.

You don’t care about US politics, which means you probably don’t know much about them. So it very much seems like you’re speaking about something you don’t care or know about. Then when I, a person who does very much care about US politics, chimes in with insight you call it an echo chamber.

Honestly, it seems like you want to just say whatever you like and then rant and dismiss anyone who knows the topic and pushes back. Ironically, that sounds exactly like how an echo chamber works lol.

IMO no, only because I do really like the option to run more than just the steam launcher. Like the battle net or Epic launcher. Also when I play some games like Dinkum I like to turn infinite energy on to make the game more chill and I can’t run WeMod on the deck.

I get that windows sucks, but having used both the screen on the ROG is just sooooo much better. Text looks much more crisp and I do have the option to run some other launchers and games I couldn’t on the deck. Also the download speeds are way faster for some reason.

The word “can” is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. A lot of things “can” have negative effects.

Most companies, mine included, try to roll out updates during the middle or start of a week. That way if there are issues the full team is available to address them.

I use eM, it has tons of options and the mail rules are next level.

I was basing my stance off the fact that you said the “know your system” philosophy is important, and that we the users should be in control. Which very much could be interpreted as everyone should live by it.

Your mindset is that if you use any pre-built solution it’s always worse? Do you take this approach to the rest of your life? Do you not eat out ever and cook every meal from scratch, that way if you have a reaction you can eliminate ingredients. That way you know exactly what’s going into your body. Yah that seems like a lot of steps for every meal, but with routine it becomes muscle memory and you get efficient. I’m also assuming you build your own cars.

I mean the concept is silly on its face. It’s not a bad option for people, but it is by no means required. And there is no problem with it. Using a pre built solution is fine. Anyone who has ever worked in tech knows the concept of build vs buy. This falls right into that. Using a best on class black box solution or building your own, there are pros and cons to each.

Made my way to CTO and it all started by making WoW mods on my PC in high school. I don’t get that mindset at all. Hell I still program on windows.

Sure, it always existed, but I think it’s obvious that the Switch and Steam Deck, more so the Switch, took off with the idea in modern gaming.

I loved my steak deck, but I sold it and got a ROG Ally, it’s better in every way and makes me wonder why Valve is just letting other companies run away with their idea.
