As far as laws regarding digital rights / freedoms go, we have no chance in Australia anyway as the major parties are all against them.
In fact the coalition has an even worse track record than labor.

Is there a setting that can be enabled at the management end to allow Graphene to pass the device health check?
When my employer rolled out intune I had to get a second device to run their ms apps. This was after them trying to figure out a way to get them to work on Graphene.

I still miss Swype.
To this day it is still better than every other keyboard I’ve tried at recognising traces.

Even a broken clock is right at least once a day.

Pipepipe is still working, as long as you are not logged in, and obviously aren’t trying to watch age verification gated content.
For how long though who knows.

“The economy” = rich people’s yachts.

Yep see plenty of people doing that.
I also find it too sweaty but sometimes you trade that off vs listening to what ever music the gym is playing.

What if they fucked right off and left parenting what kids do on their devices to their parents?

Maybe I’m just getting old, but the idea of “verifying” my real identity to a faceless website or mobile app is abhorrent.
I guess it doesn’t help that governments in some countries (UK, Australia that I know of) are encouraging this bullshit with Trojan horse laws claiming to protect children from adult websites / social media.
Can’t help but think there is also an element of pot meet kettle here, when users of an app designed to dox and slander people without their knowledge are now the ones getting doxxed themselves.

When I ran dual boot I kept windows on a separate disk to my mint install. I unplugged the mint disk when ever I wanted to boot windows.
Still had the clock issue of course.

my guess would be old.reddit disappearing.

The non removable Google search bar was one of the reasons I put Graphene on my pixel.

Probably overkill but I still run an old x86 office PC I picked up cheap in an auction. Currently running Linux mint + Kodi. Really like the Kore phone app to control it.
I wonder if the tasks pane has been added to the new outlook yet. Last time I tried it at work it was no where to be found. I like having my flagged items next to my inbox.

I don’t have a search bar on Graphene OS.

They don’t even provide refunds for purchases where the developer has cut support, degraded the app or removed the app from the store altogether.

I was a long term Nova user also. Have tried a few others since, none of which I liked except Neo, which appears to have issues in 14 too.

Been using android since the first galaxy. Never have I experienced such a fuck up as when I let my pixel 7 pro update to 14. And this is from someone that used to run random custom stuff going back a few years.
Android 14 caused my phone memory to become corrupt and I had no choice but to factory reset, losing everything not synced. Apparently this was due to running two separate user profiles.
Somehow Google was too busy finding ways to get and sell more of our data and forgot to test if this basic feature fucking works.
Not looking forward to Monday when I’ll have to jump through flaming hoops to set up my work micrishaft authenticator / profile / intune crap again.
Other beef with 14, custom launchers are broken. I have never been able to stand the stock launcher, it is like babies first launcher. No customisation options and the stupid search bar can’t be removed. A few apps I use on a regular basis claim to to not be compatible, even though they ran fine for several days in 14 till the whole thing shit itself.
On the UI front I feel as if everything seems to get more bland each release with less interesting customisation than we had circa android 5.

I'll be very surprised if our govt does anything positive when it comes to digital rights. The current shower of arseholes in government supported the previous even bigger shower of arseholes to pass diabolical legislation like data retention and assistance and access bills.
So I’m forced to use windows at work like the majority of my industry.
The start bar is still a thorn in my side since we switched from 10 to 11.
Standard office set up is 2 x 1920x1200 monitors and a 1920x1080 laptop. Some just leave the laptop shut when docked.
I preferred having it on a stand and using the lap top screen real estate.
In windows 10 I could make a monitor the primary and have a start bar only on the laptop. Not being able to do that in windows 11 is fucking annoying. They also fucked up auto hide start bar, it’s always jumping up for bullshit I don’t care about and not hiding when it should. I gave in and accepted I can’t have those bottom few lines of screen real estate because they are Microsoft’s.
As an engineer I do sometimes get feelings of imposter syndrome. But then I look at what Microsoft did to the start bar in windows 11 and think well at least I didn’t do that.
