Nope, this was an official, legally sold product. Came with a keyboard, mouse, 40gb HDD, and PS2 ethernet adapter. Required an 8MB memory card to function and installed via command line. It’s a pretty cool piece of history.
Sup.

The tax loophole was a perceived reason, but it was never proven to be true. The closest admission to it was Sony losing a lawsuit related to the situation and Sony admitting that something related to Yabasic was intended to skirt EU tax law, not Linux for PS2. I never heard of Yabasic before today.
Fun fact, Geohot owns a company that jailbreaks cars and their adaptive cruise control systems now.
Yep. I have the original HDD (somewhere) and the ethernet adapter. For anyone interested, it’s two DVD’s.
Does that actually work?
EU gets Windows 11 ‘N’. It’s gdpr compliantnane doesn’t include the ads. I don’t know about the telemetry though.
That would be nice. Just keep in mind that they already have an arbitration clause, so that seems to piss on (but not all over and certainly not shit on) gamers who have standing to enforce those values.
Cool. Meaningless until codified in law but cool for now. Until the board flips again and they nullify the order again.
Just because Linux as an operating system can have that experience, doesn’t mean everyone wants or, really, needs that experience. Some people buy cars to drive and want it to just work. Others buy cars to play with. Some people dj music that is already made, others buy a guitar.
Would you be willing to share scripts? Your situation is exactly my situation. Every time I decide to tackle it again, I’m overwhelmed with trying to settle. I dabble around as a dj and have so many duplicate tracks from various complications that automation has been problematic.
Hey look, it’s the Incus guy. Every time this topic comes up, you chime in and roast Proxmox and it potential issues with a link go a previous comment roasting Proxmox and it’s potential issues and at no point go into what those potential issues are outside of the broad catch all term of ‘bloat’.
I respect your data center experience, but I wish you were more forward with your issues instead of broad, generalized terms.
As someone with much less enterprise experience, but small business it administration experience, how does Incus replace ESXi for virtual machines coming from the understanding that “containerization is the new hotness but doesn’t work for me” angle?
The problem with the concept of “Quick one off questions go to discord” concept is when the second through infinite people have the same question or issue. Discord isn’t crawled by search engines, and it ties up support staff/developers with answering repeat questions. Nevermind the time zone issue.
Like, I get that conversation isn’t as dynamic, but you can always schedule a time to chat dynamically.
Until this update anyway lol Connect nor Mirage launch anymore haha
I don’t understand these patch notes sometimes. I’ve been playing Mirage for weeks. 🤷🏼♂️
I bought a 2021 VW GLI, it has a software component called Car-net that has literally never worked. I don’t even know what it’s supposed to do. The little I’ve found is that it’s supposed to have an app remote start and maybe a few other features, but according tk carnet, my car is still dealer owned. There have been at least six contacts to the car net folks from the dealer about the issue. I have a remote start on my FOB so whatever, but the car software support issue is so real. 🤷🏼♂️
I thought that we collectively were moving away from this term?
Installed lutris from “Discover”, opened lutris, tapped “ubisoft connect”, confirmed location, tapped install. Launched Connect, logged in, installed Assassin’s Creed Mirage, played game.
?
If you pay attention to the Deckard rumors, the current guess is a console+wireless vr combo. A physical device that matches Valve’s patent has been seen in “Half Life Alyx: Final Hours” on a shelf behind someone in a vr helmet.
Giga, but tuck openSUSE closer to the mascot. Use the negative space between the feet and above the open in a clever way.
Neat, I had no idea. Can’t wait to pull this out on trivia night lol
