I reserved one when they were first announced, but by the time my unit was ready to purchase, it no longer appealed much to me. I spend maybe 5 hours a month gaming since I graduated from uni, so I suspect it would be sitting right next to my Index, which I also have touched in well over a year. Still, I’m glad to see that so many people are enjoying it

They’re two different apps for two different purposes IMO. Kodi is better if you do a lot of local watching and are a tinkerer-type of person who enjoys the setup/troubleshooting process. Plex absolutely blows it out of the water in terms of ease of setup and remote streaming.

This isn’t even to mention PlexAmp, which makes up probably 80% of my total Plex streaming, anyway. Again, I think PlexAmp is 10x better than any comparable Kodi mobile app.

I’m not super big in horror games. I think the genre doesn’t really lend itself to content longer than a few hours and way too many developers think “difficult=scary” which makes horror games pretty frustrating for me. That being said, I played The Iron Lung a few months ago and really enjoyed it. Short, cheap, with a crazy unique setting and game play mechanics. It’s worth a shot if you’ve got a few bucks and an hour or two to kill.

I’ve never had a problem with DDGs search results that simply rephrasing my query didn’t solve. What are you all searching for that Google’s results are “light-years ahead” of DuckDuckGo’s? (Honest question)

Similar things can be said about alcohol, nicotine, driving a car, etc., but society recognizes that not all parents are responsible enough to make those decisions and have put up laws to protect the broader interests of society. It would be great if all parents could have a conservation about the harm that pornographty consumption has on development, but the fact that most fathers can’t even talk to their daughter about their periods (or mothers about their son’s problems) tells me that this probably isn’t going to happen.

Agreed. If not for the fact that these laws are obviously just a gateway to more porn restrictions, I’d support a strict pornography age verification. But because it’s coming from only the far right conservative group, I know where things will end up if we give an inch. As for your porn being traceable, it already is. Your ISP/VPN sees all of your internet traffic, and you’d be a fool to think that the government doesn’t have access to that info.

If not for the fact that I know conservatives are going to use it as a stepping stone to ban all porn in the future, I’m honestly fine with a porn age verification.

Ever singe Rarbg went down, I haven’t torrented much, mainly Usenet which doesn’t have ratios. The /t board can be good if you look past the dozens of porn threads, too.

Sounds a lot like when people say they use Spotify to “support the artist” when a single t-shirt sale gives them more money than ten thousand plays ever do. If I really want to support a show, I’ll leave a review online, but I won’t compromise my already tight budget to pay some billion-dollar company on the hopes that my subscription will trickle-down to the content creators.

Unpopular opinion but I don’t feel sorry for anyone who isn’t pirating their media these days. If anyone can look at the multiple $15+ per month subscriptions and think they’re worth it, they deserve to be fleeced even more.
