Fuck mega corporations who think we shouldn’t own but rent from them when they aren’t providing a service that is needed if they didn’t vacuum up all available resources in that area then rent it out.

About 1/3 of a % of a lightyear that’s hardcore that we’ve gotten something out that far.
I hate that youtube music did that when google music worked better and allowed you to run it without connecting periodically. Now I have Grayjay and a music app I use in graphene, never been happier to listen to the people I subscribe to only and have to go out of my way if I want to doomscroll.

I’m loving my framework 13, and have tried the following distro on it: Ubuntu (24.04-25.10) Fedora Bazzite Debian Pop OS Cachy OS NixOS Mint
Debian was a pain to get the firmware updated on, Ubuntu was super easy, but left because the potential spyware they may be putting on soon and the ID laws, Poo OS was one of the early ones and was nice but not for me, Bazzite was too controlled, but great for gaming, Cachy OS is something I will go back to eventually, Nix was nice but need more time with that package manager to figure out the best way to set it up my way, and mint was my first distro on there.

Eh he is a big failure, and failed up his whole life just like DJT. They managed to fail at being human beings with empathy, but musk is so awkward he failed to get an invite to the oedo parties.

So you’re making my point?

X is owned by a wannabe pedophile from what the Epstein files showed, so maybe X is the only one?

By that metric neither was the USSR under Stalin or even Lenin, Romania, or Yugoslavia.
exhausted sigh “does anyone have anything to say that isn’t about Linux?”
“Microslop windows is trash, a waste of resources, poorly optimized, and spies on you.”

I use Grayhay since it makes it so all platforms I follow are on there and I can easily download videos if I want, plus follow people like Louis Rossmann on peertube, YouTube, if they have patreon or nebula there too.

If that is the case they’ve been making very dumb decisions in the last 10 years for that. Threatening Europe with attacks if they don’t abandon Ukraine has increased military cooperation within the EU and military spending when Trump threatened to not help if they didn’t reach a certain military spending threshold, Trump increasing tarrifs on the EU, the largest importer from and exporter to the US has made EU start investing in open source technologies and to disentangle themselves from much of what has made the US rich since the end of WW2, the US manufacturing and technology sectors, Trump threatening Greenland has raised EU hackles as most of the member states are members of NATO and has forced them to re-evaluate their military partnership with the US on many levels, being one of the main reasons there is not even token support for operations in Iran, Russia’s 3 day military operation in Ukraine and their destruction of cables and potential destruction of pipelines to create price shocks and increase overall prices for Russian oil has led to countries previously very reliant on Russian oil toturn to France for nuclear power, to renewables, or to pay for higher prices for oil from the middle east (with plans to decouple from most oil as soon as they can to stop being forced into political situations over energy costs). That doesn’t sound like them getting weakened but them decoupling their economies and getting over the growing pains to stand on their own against the stupidity of the US and Russia.
For we all live underground
That is an excellent place to sonate, that ans FUTO.
Wikipedia? It’s not software but worth donating to.
All praise temple OS the holiest of the holy.
Why are there multiple windows logos? You don’t see Fedora 42 and 43 on the plots nor the different versions of any other distro.

That and he knows about the Antichrist.

Yeah it’s probably like corruption the optimal number isn’t 0 but as close as we can get without hamstringing society. Make it just hard enough so that those who would do it if it was easy can’t do it easily and then you have 90% less corruption. Think of it like piracy, it was big in the 2000’s when buying DVDs was a thing and storage was getting cheap but record labels and studios were not able to update their business model and the easiest way to get most media for the average user was something like Napster. When streaming came along and Netflix had a massive catalogue and was better in every way to cable and same with music streaming platforms at first piracy almost stopped completely and is only coming back due to enshitification. We need to implement a model like Netflix streaming which aligns incentives for politicians to make good policies and not sell out the country from under us for personal gain by making said decisions have actual negative and immediate consequences, be it trading in the stock market while in office or for a ster period of 2 terms after they serve their time in office, being a lobbyist for a set amount of time before or after presenting themselves as a candidate, and enforcing an open period after a law is drafted for public review and ability to lodge complaints and a 2-4 year reassessment of the law to see if it is actually doing what it was set out to do or not and repeal it if not (with exceptions for laws that govern long term policy such as schools where it can take 14 years for the policy to actually show concrete results.
Nah but that’s what he wanted, he is the truest form of tech bro, destroy the world, refuse to accept consequences of his actions, weaseled his way out of the situation and managed to, in the wake of unimaginable human suffering, get more power over people and has a god complex tell me this isn’t some or all the characteristics of people like Peter Theil, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai, Bill Gates, hell even Tim Cook and Steve Jobs before him. Punishment doesn’t stop this sort of behavior but removing the possibility of someone having that level of control over others is the only way but the richest and most powerful have always sought ways of amassing more power not realizing that that leads to worse off situations for everyone including themselves, Horizon did great encapsulating that trait in Faro, but be it him, the people behind Skynet, the Matrix or whatever other tech dystopia that tech bros seem pathologically unable to not try to make happen in the worst way possible is only the beginning, they seem to forget that even with advanced tech that serves their needs and wants, which won’t help their mental health, the people lower down on the rungs of society have brains, wants and needs, and they have more expertise in all sorts of things than the 1% are except for mass exploitation. This inevitably goes wrong one of a few ways, either everyone dies from the tech, or so many that societal collapse is inevitable not great and even if society survives it can’t functionally reconstitute itself; 2 they win and kill off or supress enough of society that the society becomes less productive and instead of fighting the powerful they flee or don’t participate in wealth generating for the rich were they don’t have to, maybe to rise up again later or the economy of the region just ignores them completely and the government protects themselves from their people more than anything else, or 3rd your revolution with terror campaigns against any and all who can be credibly accused of being part of the former tyrants. In all 3 cases the richer people end up poorer overall because wealth flees or dies in autocracy.
