  • Does the Switch have any exclusively-online games? That’s a genuine question that I’m interested in for comparison purposes.

I think it’s a load of shit that any single-player experience requires an internet connection. I still know people with shoddy enough connections that they can’t play games like Diablo 4 on their desktop pc. However, I don’t think that it should disqualify a game from being Verified.

  • So, is it actual discrimination, or is it just that their data Facebook has shows that other ads are better suited to them, statistically, in terms of profit? I’m sure all sorts of patterns show up in the quantity of data they have, and algorithms show ads based on these patterns. It’s possible that gender is a factor, but it seems just as likely that there are other patterns (perhaps some common to a given gender) that factor into this result.

Edit: To be clear, I did not read the article, because I don’t actually care that much. I just find statistics and patterns interesting. Having worked in insurance in the past, I was always curious about which exact information factored into premiums, and in what way. I know everything from marital status, to job, education, location, age, credit score, and much more, factored into decisions, and not always in ways you may expect – all based on statistics.

  • I’m sorry, but if Windows was that hard for you to install, you did something majorly wrong. I haven’t installed 11 on anything, but 7 and 10 were both cakewalks that practically hold your hand all the way through. It’s the last step when building a PC – after the actual work is finished.

If you have little experience with Windows, you may just be suffering from its “easiness.” It lets you do less in order to protect the less knowledgeable user. From personal experience in similar matters, I can attest to how frustrating that can be. You don’t want Windows to do it for you, you just want to do it! So you try to find a way to do things your way, bash your head against a wall, get frustrated, and ultimately take much longer to do anything.
