You forgot the Bill “now the largest owner of arable land in the US” Gates

CEOs are getting too comfortable again. One needs to be pew-pewed in the streets to thin the herd and guarantee next year’s harvest!

Which one of his 3 mega yachts do you think he’ll pop his clogs on?

So the deal is that Palestinian hostages will be released but with no press, no fanfare, nothing but Israeli ones are the opposite and guess what the complicit western media will be filling their pages with?

And some people can’t pull their head out of their own ass long enough to see that their problems aren’t the same as everyone else’s problems.
You’re just projecting here.
I merely pointed out that everything is politics and yet you respond with yet more bleating.
and their pet issues
And you respond further by shoving your head further up your own arse.
Your response being a great case study in how you can do exactly that while also implying that no one else even has problems to begin with.
Are you trying to make yourself out as the victim here?
What a fucking crybaby!

When can we stop inserting politics into every little thing?
When I see comments like this, it makes 2 things plainly obvious:
It is in everything and connects everything. It defines your relationship and how you interact with the world and it’s relationship to, and interaction with you.
Some people can’t see the wood for the trees

Considering that the bbc is not a very trustworthy media outlet, I view them reporting this with the same incredulity of all the maga cried going on about Hunter Bidens laptop.
Not to say I don’t think PRNK isn’t an authoritarian regime but all the things they claim about that phone are the kind of malware that Western agencies use all the time.

In all seriousness, you really don’t want a mass exodus from Reddit to Lemmy instances. It’s better that it’s slowly so growth is managed but even more important, user quality is maintained!
When the Digg exodus happened, Reddit literally overnight went from a considered discussion board to full of ascii art, 1 line shit witty or pun comments, lyric threads and the signal to noise ratio went to shit.
On top of that there were constant stability issues that were compounded by all the thickos constantly hammering F5.
You could write that as 1 line:
[ -z "$var" ] && echo "empty" || echo "no it aint"

Maybe they should try looking a bit closer to home with that they were rescued from bankruptcy by Russian oligarch donations and one of their favoured sons awarded a position in the House of Lords to the billionaire son of a former KGB director!

Pixelfed has been live for a while and Loops is in beta.
For my invite the other and whole not as fully featured as some corp owned short form video apps, it looks good & has multiple things over the others

ByteDance is a privately-held global company, roughly 60 percent owned by global institutional investors (such as Blackrock, General Atlantic, and Susquehanna International Group), 20 percent owned by the company’s founders, and 20 percent owned by its employees—including over 7,000 U.S.-based employees.

Do you want a top 3 or a full list?
If the latter, we could be here for days…

The cliff thought as much. Why else would it yeet him like that?!
(Doesn’t sound like he was because he also held patents for an insulin pump & a wheelchair that could climb stairs so his mind was definitely working towards solving real world problems & not just reinventing public transport)
Old man shouts at clouds hating on democratisation of music production tools and digital distribution, while sitting in his $x00,000 studio, wanting to consume music that uses laborious methods of manufacture and distribution and seeing it has no value if it doesn’t.
As they say
