  • " Asked for comment about the new lawsuit, a Temu spokesperson said in a prepared statement that Shein’s “audacity is unbelievable.”

“Shein, buried under its own mountain of IP lawsuits, has the nerve to fabricate accusations against others for the very misconduct they’re repeatedly sued for,” the spokesperson said. "

Pot calling the kettle black? Shouldnt they both just keep their heads down and keep chipping away at Amazon? It just seems a bit preemptive on Sheins part. I feel like some sort of confrontation between the two is inevitable, but I guess I thought it would have happened when they were more neck and neck with Amazon.

  • I actually use the ergo keyboard pictured in the thumbnail and I actually really like it. Not love, but for WHF CAD drafting its fantastic.

Like its all plastic build quality, and the buttons arent fantastic, but man is the built in wrist rest and the endless amount of availible keys It does its job great.

I hope they can maybe introduce higher quality materials, but I wont hold my breath. Overall this is a net positive buts its so weird how willing Microsoft is to cook up full products and axe official support seemingly randomly.

  • The timing actually bit me in the ass, as I got my SD only a few months before building a new 4k 120hz rig and TV update.

It gets its use more casual, quick gaming. When it is 930 PM I don’t want to take over my living room to game for an hour before I have to go to bed. So I pop on Shovel Knight Dig of whatever and dick around. Very rarely now is it my main gaming machine.

    BUT

I use it in desktop mode for one of my two living room TVs. Its so FUCKING awesome having a full PC I can charge and keep alive with just a high powered USB C cable. Its an amazing media PC because of its size and doomed profile.

  • Side note, I have such mixed feelings on HP. I have only anecdotal things to say, so please keep that in mind!

I bought a budget HP Pavilion back in 2020, for a similar reason to you, because of the Ryzen setup. It sees use 4-5 times a week. And I have to say… I love it.

The build quality is, in my opinion, outstanding for a budget ($600) laptop. Its metal, solid, with almost no noticable keyboard flex. It feels so much better than both Dells my wife and I use for work. And the keyboard is actually my favorite of all the boards in my house.

My family has always had new tech coming in and out of the house and one of the longest lasting devices we had was an HP 2-In-1.

I don’t support their scummy software practices (shoutout brother printers). But for the most part every piece of HP tech I’ve bought has been average or above. But online they’re somewhat universally panned. Its interesting.
