I recently dipped my toe into Linux with a raspberry pi and couldn’t figure out why Firefox was so laggy. I thought maybe I did something wrong.
Am I getting my hopes up for nothing? =(

Whoa, I don’t know why I’ve never considered Linux on a tablet. I have a couple that are gathering dust in a closet, and if this is doable, it sounds like a fun project!
There was a story recently about a depressing number of web domains disappearing. Everybody just gravitates to the big corporate sites now, and it makes the internet ecosystem boring and less diverse.
It’s the equivalent of Walmarts running every mom & pop store out of town.
These are the subtle types of errors that are much more likely to cause problems than when it tells someone to put glue in their pizza.
If I had seen it posted, I would have held off. I’m not subbed to every community on this instance if you saw it somewhere else.
It’s perfect if you want to feel outraged all the time though.

For me (15-ish years ago), it was because I only had 1 laptop to take notes on in college, and it happened to be a Macbook. My gaming was limited to blizzard games and anything that just happened to run on Mac in steam, like valve games.
I bet most Mac gamers are in the same boat. They didn’t buy it specifically to game, but they’ll still play what they can.
Browsers are cyclical like fashion, I guess.
