Oh wow I didn’t know that. I’ll have to double check for the states that are relevant for me.
I imagine many people naively install a privacy extension and unknowingly have altered useragents

You can spoof your useragent to appear as chrome. And you should as it makes your browser less “unique”
Personally I don’t consider it a con unless rampant. However in many cases they’ve dumped the projects. It is effort that could have helped along another project.
imo the negative side effect is the wasted effort and the abandonment.
Same, I was very sad wheb they gave up in Unity8. I do check in often on the project as I felt it provided a very good mobile experience.
The thing is. Snaps isn’t the first controversy.
Canonical, with Ubuntu early on was helping drive things forward, but they reached a point where they started to do things their own way with disregard to the broader ecosystem.
Each time they did this, they cause fragmentation, struggled, and then deferred to the choice the rest of the ecosystem has. The problem with this is that they’re not sharing their effort, they’re just throwing it away.
They merely doubled down hard on snaps which is the latest controversy.
Snaps have their own advantages, but Canonical owns the store. Which becomes its own stalewort
But I need that to block the 15 bots that follow me each day
I definitely encourage it!
It’s one of the most polished games I’ve played, that is currently in circulation, as of the 2.0 update. I think you will like it now if you previously were disappointed
Idk Cyberpunk makes GTA look like a intern project.
This.
I follow code of ethics and raise concerns where applicable. But even if you refuse, they’ll just pick another development team out of their hats to implement anyway.
So many are afraid to lose their jobs now they will keep their heads down and do it anyway.
Yes!
90% of the games I buy now are couch coop. Was sad about Halo abandoning it.
Couch coop defined my view of what video games are.
I wish Google would just switch back to Qualcomm but keep Titan security chip. Best of both worlds now that Qualcomm has decent NPU onboard.
Its very bad when you have a predictive back enabled.
It’ll just skip the animation entirely. However you won’t go home until the animation “finishes” so it just freezes for a second
Walmart online is eating Amazon they don’t have a monopoly
We built a Durable task workflow engine to manage infrastructure and we asked a new hire to add a small feature to it.
I checked on them later and they expressed they were stuck on an aspect of the change.
I could tell the code was ChatGPT. I asked “you wrote this with ChatGPT didn’t you?” And they asked how I could tell.
I explained that ChatGPT doesn’t have the full context and will send you on tangents like it has here.
I gave them the docs to the engine and to the integration point and said "try using only these and ask me questions if you’re stuck for more than 40min.
They went on to become a very strong contributor and no longer uses ChatGPT or copilot.
I’ve tried it myself and it gives me the wrong answers 90% of the time. It could be useful though. If they changed ChatGPT to find and link you docs it finds relevant I would love it but it never does even when asked.
Not anymore since it’s spreading news instead of remaining on YouTube
Been using vite for a while and haven’t had to think about it.
Glad node is catching up. But it’d spare even more headaches if it natively supported ES6 modules
The thing is the 7800x3d is a gem of a CPU. It’s has more compute than I could use and it’s low power and runs cool.
I’m going to run it until I can’t anymore, and I’ll continue to upgrade around the AMD ecosystem unless they stop being awesome.
I also am very fond of 8.10. It was my first exposure to Linux :)
Try Element X if you have a mobile. It’s rebuilt on the new sdk and offers a new architecture that has messages come in way faster than on Element (original)
MS is literally back to square one its about damn time.
They’re even worse now and aggressively pressure you to use edge if it’s not the default.
