To help fight bot disinformation, I think there needs to be an international treaty that requires all AI models/bots to disclose themselves as AI when prompted using a set keyphrase in every language, and that API access to the model be contingent on paying regain tests of the phrase (to keep bad actors from simply filtering out that phrase in their requests to the API).
It wouldn’t stop the nation-state level bad actors, but it would help prevent people without access to their own private LLMs from being able to use them as effectively for disinformation.

Advertisements should be explicit. You’ll often see sponsored segments of videos when a YouTuber is talking about a product, where they explicitly say it’s sponsored. These influences are being asked to treat the product preferential to other devices without being a sponsor.
Advertising is one thing. Asking people to advertise your product without revealing that it’s an ad is something else.

That’s simply not true anymore. Most printers work on windows locally and through a network without any special driver installations these days.
You can buy a printer, a computer, and a wifi adapter, network them together, and start printing without installing any printer utilities or additional drivers.
They’ve come a long way in this area.
I hooked up a 2013 printer to my new wifi network, opened a pdf on my phone, clicked “print” and selected the printer from the dropdown list. No driver installation. No special app for the printer. It just works.
Printers are something they’ve actually figured out on the last few years.
I can go somewhere I’ve never been, get the login for the network, and print documents from my phone without any downloading drivers, sacrificing goats or anything.

I’d love them for my dash cam if they were affordable. My camera records in front and behind of my van in 4k, so that’s 90-100 gigs an hour. I leave it running as a surveillance camera when I’m parked, so just going to work and back in one day would use over a terabyte.
The counterfeiters buy legit products and return their cheapo fakes through fake buyer accounts. So for the price of manufactoring the counterfeit products they’ve purchased the real thing.
They then sell the authentic products through other channels and appear to be supplying authentic, quality products affordably to buyers and marketplaces while at the same time poisoning the legitimate market.
It’s essentially counterfeit laundering.
They’ll also buy the real product, return the counterfeit product, then sell the real one.

I absolutely have some Type C cables that only work one way because there’s no enforced standards and the manufacturer will wire them however is cheap, throw on another company’s logo, and sell it to Amazom.
If you dint have more people than are necessary to run the business you’re understaffed. People get sick, have a flat tire, go on vacation, retire, and unexpectedly die.
If you can’t operate at 100% capacity while down a few employees then you’re guaranteed to underperform.
