The US takes another L.
The US takes another L.
Libgen is domiciled in a piracy-friendly country, the US can waste all the legal resources they want on this one. Libgen ain’t going anywhere.
What’s more dangerous for a US citizen? US companies forwarding info to local police (as facebook and google have and continue to do?), or another country with no such power doing that?
Love this. One of those extremely satisfying terminal commands to pointlessly run over and over, so much so that I added it to my crontab so I don’t do that 😭
Extremely sad. Why couldn’t people just ask for context in a polite way, instead of bringing over all those aggressive twitterisms, and assuming the poster was “doing it for the engagement”.
Another good option is to use something like stremio in order to watch it immediately (but be sure also to add the torrent to your main seeding machine).
It’s def optional, and usually default off in most torrent clients.
We should allow the US surveillance giants into all countries, and let US companies control all world social media and communications platforms. Signal too, since it’s a US-hosted centralized service that must follow its NSL laws /s
I’ve been adding a bunch of torrent-focused features to both lemmy-ui and jerboa this week, the next releases of both should have them.
Same. For anyone using fish shell, this plugin is super-handy: https://github.com/PatrickF1/fzf.fish
Where do you buy these? What’s the cost per space?
Its fairly difficult to find “up-to-date” performance / RAM comparisons of Linux Desktop environments, but here’s a decent one from 2019 comparing memory usage of different Ubuntu flavors.
The most surprising thing is that despite KDE Plasma’s reputation as being more ram-hungry, it actually used less ram than XFCE, meaning its developers have been making performance a focus.
I apologize for the innappropriate behavior and bans by @TheAnonymouseJoker@lemmy.ml in this thread, I’ve removed them as a mod here, banned them, and unbanned the ppl who they innappropriately banned.
Note: if they get unbanned in the near future, its because of our consensus procedure which requires us admins to take a vote.
Does a debian version upgrade require an OS reinstall?
No probs! Yeah it’s wild that a lot of people not only using cloudflare sites, but also running them, don’t seem to mind that cloudflare is hoovering up everything.
I’m not sure if this is ironic bc I’ve been exposed to too many irony-poisoned comments lately, but cloudflare exists to profit off your data. They’re not there to help you, your data and its trends are the product.
None of the above is easily possible, a lot of us do it.
Appreciate the humility, thx.
