Yeah, my daughter broke it to me. I remember my friends (back in the day) telling me the problems they were having getting their kids off it and I hadn’t heard much since… apparently one of my daughters friends is waiting for a catwoman skin to come back
Fortnite has certainly showed them! They won in Australia, and their game that hardly anyone plays anymore is should be the shackles in 5 more years or so. Edit: my daughter reckons people still play it
As someone who is in a country without marijuana legalisation, what is wrong with the current laws? Is there a massive spike in deaths where the cause was attributed to marijuana use?
When we keep having these arguments about how our country could possibly legalise given our driving laws, I always point to the tonnes of countries that have already legalised and ask why we need to reinvent the wheel.
I don’t really see the problem with having the password manager in the cloud if it is protected by 2FA. I tried vaultwarden (self hosted) about a year ago and the showstopper was that I couldn’t store a new password when off LAN or without first connecting the VPN. I am sure there are on demand vpn type services, but it was clunky. It would have been great it if would work locally on the phone then sync the password to the vault when it came back online

I got proxmox setup pretty easy and I am running Plex in an lxc, and docker in another. In docker, I use paperless NGx for electronic document storage
Which bit are you objecting to? If you don’t believe that the US is being portrayed by every news agency (worldwide) as a dumpster fire, you are deluded
I assure you, everyone outside of the US knows how bad the US is… the US is the laughing stock of the world right now. We get daily reminders how shit it is, how shit the economy is, how many mass shootings there were today. The world is fascinated by it, sometimes bored.
In this case with the young travellers, they have probably had the holiday booked for ages. Some people just think it wouldn’t happen to them. These sorts of checks would seem random anyway. These sorts of things appear on near every episode of Border Patrol (in Australia) where someone is being sent home because of lack of funds to sustain their length of stay etc…
The pessimist in me feels Microsoft need people to buy the new devices with the shiny new co-pilot button more than ever… gotta recoup the hundreds of billions sunk into OpenAI
My work has already blocked it, but has no problems using AI hosted by a country whose leader is a convicted criminal with close ties to Russia and North Korea
Logitech had a solar keyboard (K750R) and we used them heavily at work as they were amazing to type on… we had thousands of them. We also had dark rooms and they wouldn’t get enough charge to stay charged forever. They also used a weird rechargeable battery the same as a CR2032 which is incredibly hard to come by
Yes but it is not moving that air at a rapid pace past the components as it drags it though the case
I think I read somewhere that this isn’t good for thermals. It would only ever stay at ambient temperature, so it wouldn’t benefit from cool air being moved through the case and past the components
trying to come up with new places to shove AI
Wow… the tvOS one is interesting to me… I will watch with interest
I always thought this is why the Facebooks and Googles of the world are hoovering up the data now
Because Windows 11 is yet another painful transition for staff who are mostly IT illiterate folk, and it easier to leave things the way they are until necessary…
At the end of the day, all they are doing is waiting till the day that costs of piracy > money they make
