If you want to optimize to this point, do some embedded development. It’s somewhat fun to work at such a low level (testing tends to be annoying though)
Considering you play a lot of simulation and strategy games, the CPU you pick will probably influence your experience a lot more than usual. This chart can give you an idea of how they stack.

The problem here is that about 6 months ago the game implemented an anti-cheat that blocks linux. Despite 6 months of reports that it flat out does not work, the game still has a gold medal.
Is 6 months of reviews not enough?
