I’ve had really good experiences with PS5 DualSense controllers. They connect via Bluetooth or USB-C and have official support for the Linux kernel. The touchpad also works as a mouse out of the box which is really convenient.
Still using a 14 year old Panasonic plasma TV in the living room and I dread the day that I have to replace it.
That’s still the previous version of SteamOS though. The Arch based one that’s on the Steam Deck still hasn’t been released for everyone to use.
I run it locally for calendar and storage without any issues. Server is a 10 year old Mac Mini running Open Media Vault and I’m using the Nextcloud all-in-one docker image with Portainer.
It can take a bit of work to get set up, but I’ve found the maintenance to be pretty easy.
