The idea of using your religion as an excuse to kill people is not exclusive to Islam. There are actually quite a few instances in the christian bible where people kill due to religion.
If you actually want to get away from religious killing, as a society, we must denounce religion as a whole. Blaming one religion is just stirring the pot.
Highways don’t have crosswalks, and drivers can expect to have very few stoplights (compared to freeways, which should have exactly 0 stoplights or pedestrians whatsoever).
Streets can have frequent crosswalks and stoplights.
Sooo having a street between hotels and a beach would be no biggie, since guests could safely cross it on foot, at a crosswalk.
But with a highway there, you cannot safely cross on foot. No crosswalks. Or if there’s something that looks like a crosswalk, it sure wouldn’t feel safe to cross it.

… or just didn’t know UK keyboards were different
One of my big takeaways from CS classes was that goto loops are more efficient than for loops. So I’d start with comparing that with a recursive function.
Whataboutism is a lateral move. What I suggested was a zoom-out.
