This article is silly, are they also still mad about the Zune? People who bought a Duo for $1500 in a world where the Galaxy Fold existed shouldn’t expect Android updates forever. It was always going to be an experimental niche product.

SCIENCE!
Sometimes I miss the Spotify “Radio” playlists. Also, having the desktop sync with mobile so I could just switch players and keep the same playlist was also nice. It’s been over two years though and I don’t miss it enough to go back, Tidal is mostly a comparable experience.
Did that happen when they rolled out HiFi for everyone? They actually lowered my HiFi family plan cost at that time, which was unexpected.
I’m a huge fan of Tidal. Musicians actually get paid more, probably because they’re not wasting money on exclusive podcasts.
It looks real to me. Either that or someone put in an enormous amount of effort into creating 271 pages of FUD, only to leak it in a way that the media will suppress the content.
Oh yay, another AI Pin or glasses or assistant thing that won’t be worth buying. Yay.
Gotta wonder if that would work. My impression is that they are kind of looping inside the model to improve quality but that the looping is internal to the model. Can’t wait for someone to make something similar for Ollama.
I had an Amazfit BIP for a while that had a color e-paper display with a battery that lasted over 30 days. I think they have since gone OLED but one cool thing about it was, while they had their own app with a login, I could alternatively sync it directly with a third party app on Android that was called “Notify And Fitness”. I only mention it because within this particular app the info never left the device. Perhaps there is something similar today, but I have since just given in and gone Garmin.
I wish they made more e-ink watches
The Pixel 5 was a better phone than the 3A. CHANGE MY MIND!
I only recently learned of GrapheneOS and I’ve been tempted to install it on my 8 Pro, I may soon give it a shot. Do you find anything to be missing in terms of feature availability or in the Google play sandbox? There are a few games I don’t want to do without.
They sold me a device and want me to buy another.
It should be code name “Bug Eyes”, in a nod to Zuck.
Seems like a cool idea but, so far with Gemini on my Pixel, I hate that I can’t tell what’s on device and what’s in the cloud and I ended up uninstalling it. I’m not sure Google needs to know more about me than they already do.
Supposedly the phone can run local models but I’ve only seen it in the recorder app, which isn’t really that useful, especially after all of the hype around Tensor, AICore and Gemini Nano.
I’m considering buying one but lately I’ve been thinking about maybe getting a Mustang because the BlueCruise seems more honest. However, Ford doesn’t seem super committed to electric and it’s all hard to justify when my Honda just won’t die.
YouTube videos of FSD make it seem way better than it used to be (if they’re real) and it’s surprising that no one was paying attention until now.
Eventually someone is going to train an AI on Microsoft’s business practices and beat them at their own game.
It is the .net framework version. I’m not sure mono is used in anything but Xamarin and a handful of gnome apps. Xamarin has a clear upgrade path to MAUI but not without some effort and the risk of missing nugets, I did it on a small app once. This isn’t super useful.
They supported it with security for as long as they said they would. Microsoft sold an estimated 50k of them and killed the product line. They shouldn’t be required to invest further in Android upgrades on a device that barely deserved to exist to begin with.
