The Fediverse and classical Usenet are so similar IMO. I think Usenet is just so old that nobody outside of pirates is familiar with it.

2·1 year agoThis actually seems like a really good way to share some archived files from my NAS with my brother without relying on SFTP over WireGuard.
nginx is like, the gold standard. it’s performant as heck. the issues are likely a culmination of many small sub-optimal pieces.
