You just reminded me I own Ride 2. That game was a pretty good sim, but I wanted to play a more arcadey kind of experience with those realistic controls and physics. I’m going to be checking out the newer sequels to see if they added more silly ideas to counterbalance the dry (imo) sim racing. But, if you’re wanting that sim experience, it’s got that.

You know what else they could have done, as a compromise? Make the ad screens partially transparent, by stippling the pixels, or by having glass sections, or by turning the LCD completely transparent for part of its refresh… there are many ways to not be anti-consumer garbage meant only to jump in front of eyeballs.
