When does it happen? I’m 53, and still obsessed with software development and technology in general. Moving to the country sound like it’s nice and quiet, but too far away from urban things I enjoy.

I dunno, I don’t need it to be important, I need it to work and be readable and, to me, all caps is unreadable

I never use all caps when I write SQL, not sure why people insist on it so much

How about a meeting an hour after our daily standup and it’s the CTO and CIO saying “ok is everyone on the call?”

I was telling myself “oh crap, the company is gonna shut down”

5 minutes later “So as of this very moment, everyone stop working. The company is officially closed as of this meeting.”

We were a start up essentially. Made it almost 9 years with ups and downs. This all happened at the end of July. At least got 3 month severance and insurance covered. I do start a new job Tuesday.

I use windows 11 pro, and I don’t see any of these ads anywhere ever. Is that something the home versions only do? Did I turn off some setting proactively at setup that prevents the ads?

I went to pixel because the last couple of moto phones were just meh, but chop chop flashlight was the greatest thing ever
