This is a recording.

This sounds neat. How long has screen protector mode been around? After ten years, I would have to relearn a lot I would think haha.
There is a phone by unihertz but their phones tend to run dated OSes. I have had good lick with what @TheBest said. People either break phones, or don’t, it seems.
My main use case is with folks who have Apple phones. LocalSend has interoperability there. I cannot speak to Android-Android transfers with it, but have used the nearby share in the past.
Has anyone tried LocalSend? Not android specific, not sure about Windows tho
Can signal interact with SMS? I felt like I had issues with that when I used it a couple years ago. May have been me.
I read this article, and then went to their website, and still am not sure I understand what these things do.
I don’t know about now, but my first Linux OS was Ubuntu and I appreciated the long support because of this. That was in the dial up days, tho, I can’t imagine why anyone would require that now ☠️
Wow, big memory trip! It was os/2 warp, I saw that package and knew it!
Dad worked for IBM in the 70s, no surprise. I also remember him having an OS box with a penguin on it but I don’t believe he ever installed it. ~95ish.
This is funny because 2008 is also when I got stuck on it. Interesting read, thanks for sharing!
Gosh my dad ran that in the early 90s. Was that Linux? He was then and still is a Microsoft person.
I tried this for the same reasons about ten years ago (college, free, etc) and found it to be essentially an insurmountable challenge. It’s a bummer since they support Linux in other ways.
Maybe it is easier now.
My apologies, I mean a terrible way for Epic to end their ownership. I hope that Bandcamp will continue and thrive but this move doesn’t seem encouraging. Songtradr is monopolizing music at this point.
Wow, I don’t think Epic ever did anything with Bandcamp. What a terrible way to end it. What will become of the artists who use it as their main platform? I source a significant amount of my music from these artist, from that site.
My last (and first) smart phone lasted me for 6.5 years. It received one OS update, and stopped receiving any other updates about three years in. I was never concerned. My current phone is about 3.5 years old, didn’t receive the OS update in May, and I wonder how long it will receive security updates.
Anyway, it’s the sort of stuff like this article talks about, that I never heard of in 2017, that makes me wonder if I’ll get another three years out of this device. Maybe with Lineage.
My work phone is one of these I think. The article doesn’t really say what, if any implications exist from this radiation. How much electromagnetic radiation could a mobile phone possibly emit?
Smaller in general would be, also! Not just narrower. I don’t want a skyscraper
Does it have a requirement for the first memory slot to be populated by something smaller than 256? Can you try a low end Linux OS just to get it up and running?
The color of that peach fuzz reminds me of the rotary in our kitchen where I lived as a kid. An option besides black or white is nice!
