Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Hosting SearXNG behind a VPNEnglish
2·10 days agoAll of the mainstream engines block me after a few requests too on my VPN. After a bit I’m only getting stuff from DDG and what else. Gotta add more engines.

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•Hosting SearXNG behind a VPNEnglish
3·10 days agoUhm, well I don’t think there’s a searXNG config line for that. I basically just copied what my qbit container had for network_mode and made sure to expose the 8080 in gluetun instead of searXNG. Then, I had nginx point to gluetun’s container name to provide https.

19·2 months agoThe actual non-AI article about the dam: https://www.axpo.com/ch/en/energy/generation-and-distribution/solar-power/alpinsolar.html
Here are some images of the dam sourced from Axpo encoded from 117MiB to 626 KiB (720p AVIF)

World News@lemmy.world•China celebrity dog stolen, sold for US$25 and eatenEnglish
22·3 months agoThis hits close to home since my dog actually escaped the Chinese meat market. As far as I’m aware it’s actually a big problem over there. They were owned by an (assuming) wealthy family then stolen and sold. They were part of the batch that were seized / stolen back (tbh I’m fuzzy on the details). We’ve since given her a happy life and a family, but I feel a little morbid that fate could’ve swayed the other way and they would’ve been someone’s dinner.

Very cool
I have brave on Ios and if I’m correct it’s just using Apple’s safari webkit anyways. It’s been a few years since I compared browsers but back then it was the least shit, including firefox and firefox private.
