Can someone with more knowledge suggest what I should preemptively buy right now before the prices increase?
That’s easy because everything is made there anyway.
This is going to be a lot easier for the Chinese consumer than the American one. They will start to really feel it in a couple months.
I can’t wait for the Macbook-build quality Linux laptops that are going to come out of China now.
If you need a replacement digital screen (or other parts), you’ll find genuine parts on AliExpress/AliBaba that were made by the same factories, just were spares. Once last-gen iPhones or HP laptops stop being manufactured the excess has to be sold somewhere.

It’s like buying an extremely expensive prop that was only meant to be used in movies and breaks if it’s used for anything else for a substantial amount of time.
