As BlissOS is on halt and mostly silent from what I could find and Android-x86 is a legacy system at this point, I was looking for alternatives.

Spotted a few on alternativeto, but unfamiliar with either: FydeOS, PrimeOS, OpenThos, Maru, and so on.

Now, are any of them good as alternatives for vanilla desktop Android?
And although vanilla would imply this (least I would imagine), asking just to be sure, are any of them concerning/problematic when it comes to privacy?
And lastly, any other miscellaneous points I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance!

Edit:
This is awkward…
Just noticed that OpenThos is discontinued, Maru hasn’t had updates since 2019, and PrimeOS’s site is offline, leaving only FydeOS, I guess?

Still, keeping the questions for FydeOS, and I add:
Any alternatives I missed?

It might not be exactly what you’re after, but there’s always Waydroid. I have a script to use it if you’re still on X11 too.

Sadly not what I’m looking for. I’m looking specifically for the system as a whole being Android, not a system running inside another.
