Ah, no… the King has very publicly stripped him of his title and evicted him from the royal property in which he resided.

He’s still in the line of succession for the throne. Changing that would require an act of parliament, which I assume will happen soon. But until then, even if he’s no longer called Prince, being in line for the throne is kind of what makes a prince/princess.

Source? Because I’ve heard this repeated a lot, but where’s the ceremony? Where’s the paperwork? When did the title actually get stripped?

It’s kinda like declassifying documents, you can’t just do it in your mind. It requires some bureaucracy, and as far as I understand Parliament needs to get involved for this one

Why would the BBC report it if its not true?

          Umm…

Leaving that aside, I guess the crown has now made statements saying they intend to actually move forward with actually stripping the titles and apparently sent a letter asking him to move out

Maybe they planned this all along, but when the story initially broke that was not part of it. I would not at all be surprised if this was calculated based on public response to a tentative announcement

As for why I’m skeptical… This is like, the incest family. I’m entirely unwilling to believe this is anything other than political calculus
