The Huawei X3 Pro does not look like a router at first glance. We’re moving the wrong way. It needs to be clunky and made of hard tan-grey plastic and have buttons that make clicking noises when you push them in.
Where is the cassette futurism that all the sci-fi books and movies promised?
Where are the routers with visible, slowly-spinning fans and little screens that marquee diagnostic messages in dull green pixelated letters?
What happened to the sounds our computers used to speak? What happened to the sounds of motions and machinations of metal?
What happened to the soul of the machine?
Something like this heavily modded WRT54GL?
