Depends upon the cause. If AA is blocking certain countries, for example, and your uptime checker is running from one of them, well…
Or maybe both you and the uptime site are using the same DNS provider, which might be censoring AA.

The .org is down for me but .si isn’t. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Spotify download triggered some legal proceedings and resulted in a DNS name being blocked.
