A lot of voters didn’t bother voting in the first round, because they knew that it would come down to a second. Brazil has like 20 or so parties, and one has to get over 50% of the votes to win. Just gotta wait for the second round, no point in getting worked up about this one, everyone knew it was going to come down to these two.
OK so I have a nice External harddrive with enough terabytes of free space to save my stuff, then what do I do? Download a Linux installer, delete Windows (somehow), Load Bootscreen(assuming I still can after I delete Windows), and type in “Run Linux Installer?” is it that about the gist of it?
Oh I haven’t tried anything yet. I’m too scared I’ll fuck it up 😅 Anything that has me loading boot screen and entering commands has me thinking I’ll just absent mindedly type “delete system/32” somehow
As a lay-person, reading these memes and comments, and understanding nothing, is probably the biggest factor that’s made me decide that, while I hate windows, I’ll never feel comfortable using Linux. I mean, seriously, how much of the time are you frustratingly troubleshooting stuff? I just want something like Windows that won’t shove ads and ai bullshit at me and won’t brick my laptop after updates 😭

if Linux was more accessible to someone like me, I’d do that shit in a heartbeat. (what I mean by that is I want to download a “Linux Wizard” program, that automatically saves all my shit, installs a super easy/stable Linux version, then deletes windows, then restarts my computer and BAM! you’re good to go!)
I think the international community, just as it did when it created the different jewish and Palestinian state, should take the reigns once more, and switch the lands. isreal gets the desolation they created in Gaza, and Palestine gets all the land/resources isreal once held.

Yet we’re asked to tolerate those who support these intolerable actions. It’s framed as “keeping the peace,” and “for the good of the family,” but what it really is, is asking one side to tolerate the intolerable, so that the other side can experience some false form of peace. As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. famously noted, the absence of conflict is not the same as peace.
One side is being asked to submit to the intolerable actions of the other, while the other gives up nothing. This hypocritical stance just breeds resentment, dissolving the relationship as surely as a vat of acid would a piece of meat. No arguing required.
