I’m ready for that. When being a youtuber started looking like a job I think the site lost something.
This came up on reddit and one of the members suggested adding the following filter. I don’t know if it works but may as well. (ublock > settings > my filters)

How is this line up with ‘liberty’? The US gov can’t stop intruding into the private sphere.
I think they do care about kids but it’s a dumb argument to take. Kids are helpless, everything can hurt them. Unless it’s something legal that is specifically causing kids harm and can be regulated, like guns, then bringing kids into the debate is just going for easy points.
If you learn more about political science you’ll find that there is more nuance, it’s not so simple as all or nothing.
This is a baseless claim I don’t know why it’s getting support other than the fact the people seem to like hating on a tool.
We also pay for their bailouts and subsidies. Piracy is ethical.
I think you would stop seeing new posts.
sdf has a few instances, they might be more resilient. I’m hesitant about the ones spun up by some random person who says they’ll keep it going forever, but at the end of the day I’m not too worried about switching instances when I need to.

Not sure I’d broadcast server specs. Lemmy world has been plagued by DDOS attacks.
I used a tutorial book to help me create a python text game, then I rewrote it and have been casually adding things. I sort of want to re-write it again in Java to see how it compares, I’m more comfortable with java so I’m hoping I could focus more on system design. I’m noticing that the more I add to the base game the more spread out my solutions become, so addressing that is the main interest I have with it.
A new project I’m working on is a simple web scraper. I liked building a lexer/parser in the text game and I think having my own web scraper would be useful.
I’m still learning so I aim for projects I can ‘finish’ in 2-4 weeks.
Oh and a windows notepad that looks like the windows notepad except more customizable. I like the idea of building utilities.
