It’s a popular comment but I don’t understand why it’s upvoted. Why would Republicans oppose that war and what would be the justification for the impeachment?
On February 12, Clinton was acquitted on both counts as neither received the necessary two-thirds majority vote of the senators present for conviction and removal from office—in this instance 67 votes were needed.
Clinton was impeached but not removed. I have a hard time to believe that they would remove her for a war they want. If they impeach her for starting an illegal war, don’t they also deny themselves from ever doing it?
I wouldn’t mind to be wrong but
nobody who is making your point has named the transgression that Republicans would use to impeach her, nor had there ever been somebody during the election campaign who had mentioned that the campaign was useless because Harris would be impeached anyway.
Trump is worse, but Harris would fight the same wars because the president is a figurehead and politics is made by the lobbyists.

That’s not the question. Why would the Republicans try an impeachment for an invasion if the Republicans obviously want that war. You also have to explain how they could get 67 votes for a successful impeachment.
Who is the influencer that is spreading the idea? It’s surprising how many democrats believe it since cooperation from democrats is needed for it to succeed.
